Spring Pins Info
Spring pins are simply a tube of metal with a slot down the length, made from Spring steel. Spring pins have a chamfered at each end, this is to help guide the pin into the pre drilled hole. The hole must be slightly smaller than the diameter of the Spring pin, this will ensure a nice tight fit for the pin. Spring pins are driven in using a hammer or tool press/fly press. As the pin enters the hole, the slot down the length of the Spring pin closes but retains its springiness and securely holds the pin in place .
