Imperial Coiled Spring Tension Pins Coiled Roll Pins are hollow cylindrical pins made from wound spring steel sheet. The diameter of the pin is slightly larger than the nominal diameter of the hole into which the pin will be inserted. The pin is compressed as it is inserted into the hole and the spinginess of the pin holds it in position. The operation is similar to a Spring Pin (Roll Pin) but the spirol pin provides a much firmer grip on the material due to the reinforcement of the inner coils.
